Abstract
Some ErF3-doped calcium fluoride crystals have been grown using the vertical Bridgman method. Temperature and frequency dependence of the complex dielectric constant have been studied over the temperature range of 150-300K. The effect of the sample surface orientation on the dielectric relaxation has been revealed for the first time.
