Dear Colleague,

During the period May 24-27, 1999 The Romanian Society on General Relativity
and Gravitation (SRGRG) will organize, at Bistrita-Nasaud, Romania,
the VIII-th National Conference on Theoretical Physics-General Relativity
and Gravitation. The Conference is intended to provide a stimulating
environment for presenting of current interest in General Relativity
and Gravitation (GRG) and in some connected areas. Like the previous ones,
this Conference has a second section dedicated to topics in the History and
Philosophy of Science (HPS).
	On behalf of the organizers, we have the pleasure to invite you to
attend our Conference. Please be so kind, and fill the preregistration form
and return it to the address of the Organizing Committee of the Conference,
before March 1, 1999.
	We intend to organize parallel sessions with the invited conferences
(40 minutes) and communications (15 minutes).
	Each paper will have a maximum 8 pages and each conference a maximum
20 pages.
	The papers in GRG in English, will follow the standard rules. All
materials will be submitted to Dr.Dumitru Vulcanov during the Conference in
order to be included in the final volume of the Conference. The papers in
HPS in English or Romanian will be submitted to Dr. Cleopatra Mociutchi also
during the conference in order to be included in a second volume of the
Conference. LATEX or TEX computer-file versions of the contribution
are recommended.
	Other information on the conference available on the WEB-pages of the

	A second circular letter, including a preliminary program of the
Conference an details on the financial support and accommodation will be
distributed around May 1, 1999 to those who have returned the
preregistration form.
	There is no registration fee for attending the Conference. The travel
expenses of the participants should be supported by the home institutions.
Persistent efforts are made by the organizers to cover full board and lodging
for all the foreign participants and for a limited number of Romanian
participants.
