Abstract
The evolution and the main properties of hard and soft magnetic materials is firstly presented. Then, we
analyse the magnetic characteristic of anocrystalline systems based on Nd-Fe-B, Sm-Fe-Si, Zr-Co-Fe and
FeSiBNbCu. Representative magnetostrictive and magnetocaloric materials are described. Finally, we analyse the physical properties of Sr2FeMoO6 perovskit.
