Abstract
The exchange enhanced paramagnets based on LaNi5-, YCo2- and Y-Co-B compounds show a transition from a T2 dependence of the magnetic susceptibilities, to a Curie-Weiss behavior, as temperature increases. The band structure calculations were used to describe the low temperature magnetic susceptibilities as well as their temperature dependences. The magnetic behavior of Co and Ni, in the above systems, were analysed in spin fluctuation model.
